Strong winds have limited fishing opportunities, but pier anglers still-fishing with spawn caught the occasional steelhead or coho in the early morning.

Pentwater Lake: Anglers using small jigs or dropper-rigs tipped with perch minnows caught yellow perch in 20 to 30 feet.

Pentwater River: Those drifting skein or spawn bags continue to catch salmon throughout the river. Try the deep holes in the early morning.

Anglers drifting crawlers between the pierheads caught smallmouth bass and channel cats in the evening.

Pentwater Lake: Anglers caught perch and crappie on dropper-rigs tipped with perch minnows in 25 to 35 feet. The odd smallmouth was caught by those casting body baits from Longbridge Road.

Pentwater River: Anglers drifting skein or egg-pattern flies caught Chinook.

Salmon anglers casting spoons from the pierheads reported slow fishing.

Pentwater Lake: Anglers casting body baits from Longbridge Road caught the occasional Chinook in the early morning.

Pentwater River: Anglers casting body baits or drifting skein caught Chinook salmon. Early morning was best.

Angling activity has decreased greatly. Boats fishing 50 to 90 feet down in 225 to 350 feet caught Chinook, young coho and steelhead on spoons and flies.

Pentwater Lake: Anglers still-fishing with red worms at Longbridge Road caught yellow perch, rock bass and channel catfish.

Pentwater River: Those drifting egg flies or casting body baits caught the occasional Chinook salmon in the early morning.

Boats trolling 60 to 80 feet down in 200 to 250 feet caught steelhead and young salmon between here and Little Sable Point. White, glow or green spoons were the ticket. Pier anglers reported very slow salmon fishing but caught the odd smallmouth bass or freshwater drum when casting body baits between the piers.

Pentwater Lake: Anglers casting for salmon from Longbridge Road reported very slow catch rates. Those casting body baits and spoons in the channel caught freshwater drum and the odd smallmouth.

Anglers trolling 70 to 100 feet down in 170 to 250 feet caught Chinook and coho salmon on green or glow spoons. Meat-rigs were not producing. Orange spoons on high-lines were taking the occasional steelhead.

Pentwater Lake: Those drifting minnows along the bottom caught the occasional smallmouth bass, channel cat or freshwater drum in the channel. Those floating red worms under a bobber caught perch, rock bass and bluegills from Longbridge Road.

Inconsistent water temperatures have the salmon scattered from the dunes down to Little Sable Point. While catches were inconsistent, boats trolling from Juniper Beach down to Little Sable Point caught chinook and coho along with steelhead 35 to 70 feet down in 70 to 150 feet. Glow spoons fished early in the morning caught the most chinook salmon while green spoons and meat rigs fished well later in the day. Lake trout were caught on spin-glo’s near the bottom. Pier anglers caught smallmouth bass in the early morning when jigging soft-plastic minnow imitations or when drifting minnows and crawlers in the channel.

Pentwater Lake: Anglers drifting minnows, leeches, and crawlers through the channel caught good numbers of smallmouth bass and the occasional freshwater drum. At Longbridge Road, good numbers of perch and sunfish were caught on red worms.

Those trolling 40 to 80 feet down in 70 to 130 feet in front of the dunes caught Chinook, coho, lake trout and the occasional steelhead on flies, spoons and meat rigs. Bloody nose and raspberry carbon spoons fished well, along with red or blue meat rigs and blue or green flies.

Pentwater Lake: Drifting live bait through the channel helped anglers catch smallmouth bass and the occasional freshwater drum. Those fishing from Longbridge Road caught bluegill, rock bass and the occasional smallmouth while drifting nightcrawlers or red worms under a bobber.

Those getting out early and trolling 40 to 90 feet down in 70 to 140 feet off Little Sable Point caught Chinook, steelhead and lake trout. Flies and meat rigs worked best but blue and green spoons also took a few fish. Pier anglers drifting live bait through the channel caught smallmouth bass in the morning.

Pentwater Lake: Boat anglers casting spinners and body baits along the weed beds in five to 12 feet caught bass and pike. Perch, sunfish and bullhead were hitting on crawlers and red worms at Longbridge Road.

Fishing in front of the dunes has been slow, but those fishing the south side of Little Sable Point caught Chinook, steelhead, and lake trout 40 to 70 feet down in 80 to 150 feet with meat rigs followed by green or blue spoons and flies.

Pentwater Lake: Large and smallmouth bass were caught in eight to 12 feet while jigging white soft-plastics or casting body baits along the drop-offs. Those fishing off Longbridge Road can still find bullhead, sunfish and bass when drifting or fishing on the bottom with crawlers and red worms.

Chinook were caught by those trolling 30 to 70 feet down in 60 to 130 feet in the early morning from the dunes down to Little Sable Point with glow or green and blue spoons and flies. Chinook and the occasional steelhead were caught later in the morning when trolling 40 to 80 feet down in 150 to 180 feet. Pier anglers caught smallmouth bass when drifting minnows or crawlers through the channel.

Pentwater Lake: Anglers drifting crawlers, leeches or minnows through the channel caught good numbers of smallmouth bass in the morning. Those still-fishing with red worms from Longbridge Road caught sunfish, bullhead, and the odd smallmouth bass.

Boats trolling from the dunes down to Little Sable Point caught good numbers of Chinook salmon and steelhead 50 to 70 down in 100 to 130 feet. Blue or green spoons and flies took the most fish while cut-bait fishing was slow. Lake trout fishing in the same depths was excellent in the bottom half of the water column with spoons, flashers and flies. Pier anglers caught smallmouth bass when still-fishing or drifting minnows and leeches in the channel.

Pentwater Lake: Anglers fishing from Longbridge Road caught rock bass, sunfish, and smallmouth bass when floating red worms or crawlers under a bobber. Boat anglers caught good numbers of smallmouth bass working jigs tipped with soft-plastics along the drop-offs.

Bass anglers caught good numbers of smallmouth bass in 6 to 12 feet when casting crank baits along the weed lines. At Longbridge Road, smallmouth bass and panfish were caught on red worms or drifting crawlers along the bottom.

Anglers trolling between the dunes and Little Sable Point caught steelhead, Chinook salmon, and lake trout 40 to 70 feet down in 100 to 180 feet. Pier anglers caught smallmouth bass while drifting minnows between the pier heads.

Pentwater Lake: Anglers fishing from Longbridge Road caught brown bullhead, pumpkinseed sunfish, bluegill, and smallmouth bass when drifting red worms under a bobber of still-fishing near the bottom.

Boats trolling in front of Juniper Beach in 120 to 180 feet caught Chinook, steelhead, and coho on spoons and meat rigs in the top 70 feet. Double orange crush, wonderbread, and bloody nose spoons worked well. Pier anglers caught smallmouth bass in the channel when drifting crawlers or minnows.

Pentwater Lake: Anglers casting body baits and soft plastic swimbaits caught smallmouth bass in five to 12 feet. At Longbridge Road, anglers caught smallmouth bass, pumpkinseed, yellow perch, and bullhead when drifting worms under a bobber.

Chinook, steelhead and lake trout were caught 20 to 60 feet down in 80 to 160 feet. Green flies, blue or green spoons, and blue or purple meat rigs all caught fish.

Pentwater Lake: Those casting body baits in five to 15 feet caught smallmouth bass and pike. Sunfish and perch were caught from Longbridge Road when floating a worm under a bobber.

Boats trolling 25 to 70 feet down in 120 to 180 feet caught salmon and steelhead from the dunes down to Little Sable Point. Green flies and orange, blue or green spoons all caught fish.

Pentwater Lake: Anglers floating red worms caught bluegills and sunfish in three to 10 feet. Those fishing from Longbridge Road caught smallmouth bass and sunfish with crawlers under a bobber.

Salmon fishing from the dunes down to Little Sable Point was excellent. Boats trolling 30 to 70 feet down in 110 to 180 feet caught Chinook, coho and steelhead on spoons, flies and meat rigs. Spoon colors were orange, pink or the blue dolphin and fly colors were blue, green or white.

Pentwater Lake: Panfish anglers caught bluegills and pumpkinseed when floating red worms in 3 to 8 feet. Bass anglers caught both large and smallmouth on jigs tipped with soft plastics or body baits in 3 to 10 feet.

Boats trolling in 40 to 70 feet caught lake trout on spin-glo's near the bottom. A couple Chinook were caught on spoons in the middle of the water column.

Pentwater Lake: Anglers caught lots of smallmouth bass on jigs tipped with soft plastics in 3 to 10 feet. Those fishing from Longbridge Road caught channel catfish while still-fishing with crawlers or smallmouth bass when casting jigs and soft plastic swim baits. Those casting body baits and jigs in the channel caught the occasional walleye in the evening.

Boats trolling in 50 to 80 feet caught Chinook and coho salmon 20 to 40 feet down on spoons and body baits. Lake trout were caught in 60 to 80 feet with spin-glo's near the bottom.

Pentwater Lake: Perch fishing slowed. Anglers have started to catch bluegills and sunfish along the drop-offs in 8 to 12 feet with red worms and wax worms. Those casting body baits reported good catches of smallmouth bass and northern pike in 8 to 15 feet. A good number of smallmouth bass were caught from Longbridge Road on jigs tipped with soft plastics.

Those trolling in 5 to 20 feet caught brown trout on body baits while lake trout were caught on spin-glo's or spoons fished near the bottom in 45 to 65 feet.

Pentwater Lake: Anglers casting body baits in 5 to 15 feet caught smallmouth bass and northern pike. From Longbridge Road, crappie were caught on a jig under a bobber and smallmouth bass were caught on jigs tipped with plastics or a soft plastic swimbait.

Boats trolling in 50 to 70 feet caught lake trout on spin-n-glo's fished near the bottom. Pier anglers caught steelhead and brown trout on spawn bags fished near the bottom.

Pentwater Lake: Boats fishing in 40 to 50 feet caught perch on dropper rigs tipped with minnows, wax worms, or wigglers. Those fishing Longbridge Road caught black crappie and smallmouth bass on jigs tipped with minnows and wax worms.

Pier anglers caught steelhead and brown trout off the end of the piers. A few walleye were also caught.

Pentwater Lake: Perch anglers reported good fishing in 40 to 50 feet with perch rigs tipped with wax worms, spikes, or minnows. A couple steelhead were caught on spawn from Longbridge Road.

Gusty winds have limited pier fishing but anglers did catch steelhead and the occasional brown trout with spawn bags in the channel.

Pentwater Lake: Boat anglers caught yellow perch in 30 feet using perch rigs tipped with minnows or wax worms. Those fishing Longbridge Road caught the occasional steelhead on spawn bags near the bottom.

Water is still rather high, but clarity is fair near Longbridge. Fair report for Steelhead, but still not full swing.

but the south end of the lake near longbridge was still fair.

Steady report for perch, but lots of sorting through smaller fish. Ice report has varied between 5 and 7 inches, most reports are coming from Longbridge area. No reports for slammer fishing yet.
